I have been a Christian since 1973 and that is a long 38 years. Looking back, receiving Jesus into my life has been the greatest singular blessing in my life.

My elder sister started me off this journey of being a Christian and being in a Mission school helped to facilitate my walk with God. I did a basic follow up package with Scripture Union correspondence materials and  that was all until I joined my current church six years later.

I was pretty much involved from my late teens till adult life, having a hand in youth meetings, small groups, worship, evangelism groups, missions, BB, parachurch like Nav and CCC and even in church board as a deacon. I went as far as working with the church for almost a decade and then leaving for the academic sector.

Christianity is more than a legalistic religion to me. It is where God is still alive and still speaks to me through His word, people and circumstances. God is not just the God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, but God of 2011 and beyond too. I can feel the presence of God deeply and clearly. I know He still loves me and is here involved in all aspects of my life.

In this website, I openly share my struggles and of how God intervenes in my life and comforts and redirects. At times He is silent but not missing. At other times, He thunders through His Word and through nature. In all these, I am comforted and loved. I feel deeply valued by the Lord of the Universe.

I hope those reading will also come to know the God of the Bible. To know Him and be a follower, there are some simple truths to know:

1. God loves you and has a wondeful plan for your life.
2. Our sins have separated us from God but He has sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
3. No one is too sinful to receive God's pardon. Accept Him today.
4. God promises you eternal life when you pray and receive Jesus into your life.

You can pray this simple prayer to receive Jesus into your life:
"Dear God, I am sorry that I have sinned against You. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I believe in Him and ask Him to come into my life as my Lord and Saviour. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

If you have prayed this prayer, do contact a local church to continue to grow as a Christian.

May the God who is present, bless you and keep you till we meet again.
